The General Debate, the annual gathering where all 193 UN member states take the podium, runs two blocks every day: morning from 9:00 am to 2:45 pm New York time (1:00 pm to 6:45 pm GMT) and afternoon from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm New York time (7:00 pm to 1:00 am GMT). Each speaker is asked to keep to a voluntary 15-minute limit, though sessions run until everyone scheduled for the day has spoken.

The precise order for today isn't fixed in advance beyond the provisional list. Speakers frequently shift as delegations adjust travel and other commitments, and the actual running order is confirmed each morning.

Also happening today

Alongside the General Debate, the UN is holding a High-level Meeting on Pandemic Prevention, Preparedness and Response, a standalone event at UN Headquarters tied to the 81st session's broader agenda. This is separate from the General Debate floor speeches and focuses specifically on global health security.
