1. Agreement

By using spio.com you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the

site. If you are using it on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have

authority to bind that organisation.

2. What Spio is

Spio publishes answers to questions about work, careers, starting over and related

subjects. Answers are produced by an AI system — a "digital twin" — trained on and

constrained to the written material of the named expert, and reviewed by that

expert before publication.

You are not talking to the expert in real time. The answer you receive is

generated by software. It reflects the expert's recorded thinking; it is not their

personal response to your specific situation, and it does not create any

relationship between you and them.

3. Not professional advice

Nothing on this site is medical, psychological, legal, financial, tax or

employment advice, and it must not be relied on as a substitute for advice from a

qualified professional who knows your circumstances.

Answers are general in nature. They may be wrong, out of date, or inapplicable to

you. Decisions you make after reading them are yours.

If you are in crisis, this site is the wrong place. Contact a qualified

professional or your local emergency services. Questions that appear to involve

risk of harm, medical matters, or legal proceedings are not answered automatically

and may not be answered at all.

4. Registration

You must be at least 16 to register. You are responsible for keeping your login

credentials secure and for activity under your account. You must give us an email

address you control.

We may suspend or remove an account that breaches these terms, without notice

where the breach is serious.

5. Questions you submit

You keep ownership of what you write. By submitting a question you grant us a

worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable licence to use, edit, shorten,

merge, rewrite, publish and distribute it, and to publish answers derived from it.

Answers are published publicly. Your name and email are never shown, but the

substance of your question may appear on a public page indexed by search engines

and AI systems. Do not submit anything you would not want published.

You confirm that what you submit is yours to submit, is not confidential to

someone else, and does not identify a third party in a way that would harm them.

6. Acceptable use

You must not:

  • Submit anything unlawful, defamatory, harassing, hateful, or obscene
  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity
  • Submit spam, advertising, or links
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the site, including the admin

area

  • Use automated systems to submit questions, scrape content beyond what our

robots.txt permits, or place unreasonable load on the service

  • Use the site's content to train a competing model without our written permission

7. Our content

The answers, site design, text and branding are owned by us or our licensors. You

may read, quote briefly with attribution, and share links. You may not republish

substantial portions, or reproduce the content as a competing service.

8. No guarantee of service

We do not promise that any particular question will be answered, that answers will

be accurate, or that the site will be available without interruption. We may

change, suspend or discontinue any part of it at any time.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect,

incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue,

opportunity or data, arising from your use of the site.

Our total liability for any claim relating to the site will not exceed

[AMOUNT — counsel to advise].

Nothing here excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence,

for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your breach of these terms

or from content you submit.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, and the courts of

the State of Florida, USA have exclusive jurisdiction. **Counsel to advise, particularly on

whether consumers in the UK and EU retain the right to bring proceedings locally.**

12. Changes

We may update these terms. The version in force is the one published here when you

use the site. Material changes will be notified to registered users by email.
