Why does everyone my age seem further ahead?

Nobody posts the year they were unsure, the role that did not work out, or the stretch where they were quietly treading water.

I have known a great many people who looked settled and were counting the years until they could stop. The presentation hardens with age while the interior does not.

Ask one of them how they actually feel. It will do more than any amount of reasoning.
