How do I turn what people always ask me about into paid expertise?
The thing people always ask you about is already a market signal — your job now is to turn that signal into a transaction.
Here's the answer from Mary's digital twin. The grey check mark turns green once Mary has confirmed it.
What the question actually tells you
When the same question keeps finding you, it means two things are true: you have knowledge that feels ordinary to you and scarce to someone else, and people already trust you enough to ask. That is further along than most people who are trying to build expertise from scratch. You are not starting. You are formalizing.
The gap between "people ask me about this" and "people pay me for this" is almost always one thing: you have not yet made an offer. Not a product, not a brand, not a website. An offer. A specific thing, for a specific person, at a specific price.
How to close that gap
Start with the last three people who asked you the question. What did they actually need? Not the topic — the outcome. They did not ask you about nutrition because they love nutrition. They asked because they are tired, or ashamed, or stuck, and they thought you might move them. The paid version of your expertise is the movement, not the information.
Then make the smallest possible offer that delivers that movement. One conversation, one session, one document, one review. Charge something real for it — not what feels comfortable, what reflects that you are solving a problem they could not solve alone. Run that offer at the next person who asks.
This matters: do not wait until you feel like an expert. The people asking you already decided you are one. Your hesitation is not humility, it is just delay.
What this is not
It is not a course, a podcast, or a brand. Those come later, if at all. Right now you need evidence — one person who paid you, got a result, and would tell someone else. That single data point is what everything else is built on, and you can have it inside thirty days without a single follower or a logo.
The knowledge you have took years to accumulate. The ask takes an afternoon. The gap is smaller than it looks from here.
Let's figure it out together.
