Should I follow my passion or take the money?

Take the money, and use it to buy the time to test the passion cheaply. Those are not opposites unless you make them opposites.

The advice industry has made this a moral choice, which is unhelpful. It is a sequencing problem.

Money first gives you the ability to experiment without every experiment being existential. Passion first gives you speed, and works if you have someone else absorbing your risk.

Be honest about which of those describes you, and stop letting people who had the second one tell you to pick it.

Let's figure it out together.
