Who is standing with Macklemore

The list keeps growing. Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Kehlani, Finneas, Ms. Rachel, Rachel Chinouriri, Greta Thunberg, and Pattie Gonia have all voiced their support. Seven-time Formula 1 world champion Lewis Hamilton also came out on Macklemore's side, commenting on the rapper's Instagram post: "Thank you for using your voice, standing with you."

Zara Larsson, Greta Thunberg, Rachel Chinouriri, Bob Vylan and Irish rap group Kneecap all left supportive comments. Florence Pugh liked the post, alongside Penélope Cruz, Rachel Zegler, Cara Delevingne, Amanda Seyfried, Bella Hadid and Hozier.

Singer Kehlani, who has also been outspoken in her support of Palestinians, wrote that she was behind Macklemore and adored him. Activist Greta Thunberg wrote, "Full solidarity and free Palestine."

YouTube star and children's educator Rachel Accurso, known as "Ms. Rachel," said she was matching Macklemore's donation to support Palestinians and called on other public figures to follow suit, writing, "I invite every wealthy white celebrity to match it and speak out against the genocide in Gaza."

Massive Attack criticized Sheeran for allowing Macklemore to be pushed out, saying: "No artist should tolerate the censorship of another artist, however many millions of dollars are in play."

Pink Floyd co-founder Roger Waters directly weighed in as well, with Newsweek noting his support alongside AOC's.

On the political front, Macklemore received support from Rep. Ilhan Omar and Dearborn, Michigan Mayor Abdullah Hammoud, among others.

Who is standing with Kraft

This side is smaller but vocal. Internet personality Dave Portnoy backed Kraft's decision in a video posted on Instagram, saying it may have been informed by past controversies involving Macklemore, including a 2014 incident in which the rapper wore what was described as a "Jewish caricature" costume at a show.

British singer Boy George also weighed in critically of Macklemore's conduct.

Singer Pink also became embroiled in the controversy after reposting an Instagram message that was heavily critical of Macklemore's comments, though she was not explicitly defending Kraft.

Kraft himself has not been without defenders in the Jewish community and among pro-Israel voices, who frame his position as a property owner's right to set standards for who performs in his venue. His own statement described the decision as rooted in Macklemore's "recent actions, material shared from the stage during Ed Sheeran's shows in New Jersey, and a broader history of antisemitic rhetoric and imagery."

What this split tells you is that the story stopped being about a tour the moment it went public. It is now a referendum on who gets to use a platform, who gets to own the room, and whether venue ownership is a legitimate editorial tool or a form of financial censorship. Both sides feel the stakes are about something much larger than one rapper and one stadium.
